A security code is for the safety and security of your mobile phone. You will have to use the default code until you change it. If you activate it in the security settings, the phone will ask for it whenever it boots or when you lock the keypad and want to unlock the keypad. If you do not activate it, you will need it whenever you want to reset the phone to its original settings. It may also be required if you want to make any changes in the security settings.
If any of the above code for the particular brand of cell phone displays an error like ‘wrong code’, it will mean that the code has been changed. It may have been changed by any of your friends or kids around!
It is advisable to change the security code for safety purpose. So if you change the security code, you should never forget it. If you forget and put the wrong security code, the handset will not accept it. So if you forget it and are unable to put the right code, your phone will be considered as locked.
The security code of a handset will always be the default until you change it.
