Installing Android OS on your Computer

Here's an easy way that you can install Android OS on your desktop computer. When you install the operating
system on a USB flash drive, you won't have to create a new partition or uninstall the operating system again.
Make certain that your USB flash drive has at least 256 megabytes of memory space available on it. And, don't
forget to remove any files on the device that you want to keep. You can either save your files on another external storage device, or your hard drive.
Instructions
Step 1:
Connect your USB flash drive to a USB port on your desktop computer. Launch your Web browser. Type the
URL address "android-x86.org/download” in the search field. Click the “Search” button when you are done.
Step 2:
Scroll down the Web page until you see the“StableRelease” section. Click the “View” hyperlink under
the file name “android-x86-1.6-r2.iiso” and then press the “OK” button.

Step 3:
Return back to your browser and type the URL address “unetbootin.sourceforge.net/” in the the search field.
Click the “Search” button. Click the “Download (for Windows)” button. Press the “Save File” button after the
pop up box appears on your computer monitor display screen.
Step 4:
Go to your desktop and double-click on the “Unetbootin”
icon to run the file. Click the radio button next to “Diskimage” and then click the “… “ button. Select the name of the Android ISO file that you previously
downloaded on your desktop computer. Click on the drop-down menu arrow next to “Type” and select the
option “USB Drive.” Then click the drop-down menu arrow next to “Drive” and select the drive letter for the
USB flash drive. Press the “OK” button when you are done.
Step 5:
Wait for “Unetbootin” to finish copying all of its files to the USB flash drive. Click the “Reboot” button to restart
your computer from the USB flash drive. In some cases, you may have to change the boot sequence order in
your BIOS, if your computer doesn't automatically boot from the USB flash drive.
Step 6:
Press the “F2”, “F10”, or “Delete” key on your keyboard to enter BIOS. Follow the onscreen instructions and use
the appropriate keys to navigate through your BIOS.
Change the boot sequence, so the USB flash drive boots first and then your hard drive. When you're done making
your changes, press the “ESC” to save your settings and exit BIOS. Your computer will automatically restart and
boot from the USB flash drive.
Step 7: Select the option “Live CD - Run Android-x86 without installation” to load Android OS. In a few moments, Android's desktop interface will appear on your computer monitor display screen. Select an application from the “Home” screen. Or, you can open the menu andselect another option that you want to use.
